Featured Artist of the Season - Summer 2016

Robbyn Gergos

Art Material Supplies  Artist of the Season - Summer 2016 is Robbyn Gergos.

Robbyn Maree Gergos, born in 1969, Victoria, relocated to Maryborough, Qld with her family at the age of 14.

A horse crazy teen, Robbyn didn’t waste any time chasing her dreams as she tried her hand at Jillarooing, fruit picking, cattle stud work while travelling and absorbing the sights and sounds of rural Australia. During this inspirational time, Robbyn discovered an abundance of artistic talent as pencil and paper became essential tools she carried everywhere.

Robbyn’s diverse subject matter and versatility astounds her peers as she fluctuates from medium to medium producing remarkable results. In support of this, she has earned first place prizes in the Open, Graphite, Pastel, Mixed Media, Portraiture, Abstract, Miniature and Wildlife sections throughout Queensland.

Today Robbyn’s practise is made up of Workshops- both in her own studio and travelling, weekly students classes, workshops for Japanese students (AIIU, Australian Institute of International Understanding), and commission work.

Her passion is to educate and encourage our younger generation of emerging artists, introducing them to the boundless opportunities the art industry has on offer.
